Specialist School Programs

​The Junior Program caters for students in Years One to Three, and the Senior Program caters for students in Years Four to Six. Both programs provide are a short term intervention for students who are exhibiting significant social and emotional difficulties in their main schools.

The prime focus for students enrolled for short periods of time is firstly engagement into educational activities and secondly assisting in the development of socially appropriate behaviours. Referrals to these programs are made directly by contacting YarraMe School.

Education at the Hurstbridge Farm is provided within the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Victoria setting. The prime concern is a safe and secure residential environment with education provided as important but secondary to the immediate needs of young people. Referrals to this program are only made by DHHS.

Every program offers innovative and personalised learning, with a strong focus on
social and emotional skill development.
