Understanding Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
|
“ADHD can be frustrating for both teachers and students, but coming together to find strategies that work helps your student — and your relationship — blossom.”
Edutopia, November 19, 2021
The ‘Understanding Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder’ course looks at the impact ADHD can have on a student’s life and shows how you can make your classroom and practice more inclusive for students with ADHD. This course, licensed from Online Training International (OLT), will support you to further understand the needs of students with ADHD and develop a range of strategies to improve learning outcomes.
Through this blending learning course, with online course content and tutor support sessions, you will:
Writing short contributions to different forum topics will be one of the ways you will reflect on your learning, and developing a short-term support plan for a student/s with SMART goals will help you apply your learning.
While the course was primarily developed for teachers, school leaders and allied health officers, education support staff (aides) may also enrol in the course. Where components of the course focus on student assessment, goal setting and program planning, it is recommended that aides speak to their teacher colleagues or the course tutor if they have any questions / need assistance with these aspects of the course.
