Positive Partnerships Service
Positive Partnerships is an outreach service that promotes positive outcomes for referred primary school students. PPS partners with Department of Education primary schools within the Hume Merri-bek and North-Eastern Melbourne areas of the North Western Victorian Region. Typically, PPS outreach teachers are referred two students per school, working within each school for one day per week over a term.
PPS outreach teachers support the engagement and wellbeing of referred students by collaborating with key school staff, other professionals and families. A team-based approach is used to identify students' strengths, needs and preferences and to develop goal-based strategies. Outreach teachers guide the development and implementation of personalised strategies that promote positive student outcomes and build the capacity of key school staff to support students.
